Galaxy Book4 Pro 14”
Premium upgrade option…

I had been using Samsung Galaxy Book3 previously, so was familiar with its sleek exterior design and the muted colouring. The biggest difference that I noticed at first glance was the display screen. Despite the OLED screen being crisp and sharp, the screen on Galaxy Book3 had a mirror-like quality, which has been a constant bother. However, Galaxy Book4 had this amended with its anti-reflection panel, so I had no trouble using the laptop in bright environments, whether this be by the window at home, cafe or airport.
Another big change was the touchscreen function - this is definitely one thing I did not know that I needed in my life! It's very smooth and responsive (clearly 120Hz helps) and I've been having much fun casually moving things across with ease. I also noted that the bezels were not separate plastic bezels like Book3, but one integrated glass, giving it a much more premium finish.
The only downside was the slight increase of weight from 1.17kg to 1.23kg as I do carry this laptop around frequently. Having said that, the battery lasts rather well so I'm not constantly worrying about having to find a charging point.
I had noticed that it had the new Intel processor and it does seem to show in how smooth the laptop runs (though I am not a gamer and more of a work user, I do have a fair few browsers, tabs, Word docs, PDFs and Excel sheets constantly open) and how quiet it is overall.
I also appreciate the decent keyboard, the keys feel nice and there is sufficient travel so that I do not feel the need to have a separate keyboard, especially when travelling.
All in all, very chuffed with this purchase - it was a very worthy upgrade!
